From New York City:

Take West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway out of Manhattan, continue on to Saw Mill River Parkway North. Take Exit 26 off the Saw Mill to the Taconic Parkway North. Be sure to move immediately one lane left once on the Taconic, as the right lane turns into an exit lane. Continue on the Taconic for about an hour and a half, and when you reach Columbia County, begin looking for an exit marked ANCRAM HUDSON. Take this exit, and follow sign to Hudson (north), making a right off the exit ramp. Continue straight along this road, which will run into Route 9 North going towards the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Do not cross the bridge; turn right onto 9G North, follow 9G into the city of Hudson and you will be on Third Street Follow Third Street to Warren St., turn left on Warren St. and travel 1/2 block to 217 Warren (big white house on the left).

 

By train:

Amtrak trains on the New York City - Albany route stop at Hudson. Go uphill (left) from the train station to the corner of Warren Street. Turn right onto Warren Street; the Museum is 2 1/2 blocks from the corner on the right hand side of the street. (About a ten minute walk).

 

From the New York State thruway (87):

take Exit 21 - Catskill - Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Follow signs to Hudson-Rip Van Winkle Bridge, which will put you on Route 23 East and then the bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow Route 23 East briefly, to the intersection with 9G. Follow 9G into Hudson and you will be on Third Street. Follow Third Street to Warren St., turn left on Warren St. and travel 1/2 block to 217 Warren (big white house on the left).
